John Martin Keith (JMK) brings a unique and well rounded perspective to hosting
Uncovering the Music. Being a
songwriter and a performer, as well as having a family, JMK can uncover and
present the music to the audience in a relaxed, lighthearted way, while candidly
relating to the musical guests and their stories.
Growing up in Paducah, KY, at the age of four, JMK began taking guitar lessons
from Herb Chapman, father of Grammy award winning Steven Curtis Chapman. It was not long before JMK had
refined his skills and began performing shows with bands and as a solo artist.
After completing his studies at Ozark Christian College, JMK moved to Nashville
where he has been a staple in the community for 10 years finding himself working
with many different artists such as Byron Keith, Tammy Pierce, Sacred June,
Everlife, Steven Curtis Chapman and Amy Courts to name a few.
In 2005, JMK released his first solo album “The Other Side”, and with wedding
bells still resonating, he and his wife Keely toured full time to support that
album. Next came the release of his second recording project “In Between,” and
with the birth of their daughter Rachel in 2007, JMK took time off from the road
to focus on his family, and songwriting.
